I can not believe how awesome your blog is. I love how you decorate with your quilts! I am in awe!
ReplyDeleteOh thanks friend! But I would like you to come by my house some time and add your awesome creative flair!! Rearrange things. Add some cool signs!
DeleteLove, love how you are decorating with the quilts. I just found your website, and am in LOVE. What is the name of some of your patterns, was hoping they would be underneath the picture.. Love your style.
DeleteOh gosh Kelly. That would be a good idea! Some day I will go back and add captions to those photos. For now, all of my original patterns are on my "Patterns" tab. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words!
DeleteLove how your surround your home with "wrapped" love - either snuggling in the basement with one of your many quilts or viewing your incredible talent displayed throughout! Your quilting is a WORK OF HEART!
ReplyDeleteWell thank you sis!! That's so nice to hear! I truly appreciate all of your support and applause--keeps me going!
DeleteI'm so glad I 'found' you, Taunja! Love your decorating ideas. Would you please tell me the size of your chicken wire frame and the quilt block in it?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much,
Gail
Thanks so much Gail! The square frame was 16 x 16" (inside measurement) and I filled it with the chicken wire myself. The Moda Love mini quilt is 12 x 12". I do have a blog post on this project if you need more info! http://carriedawayquilting.blogspot.com/2016/07/moda-love-mini-in-vintage-picnic-and.html
DeleteThank you! I made mine similar to yours, over a year ago (oops!) and really like it on my wall. Working on the Window Garden quilt now. You continue to inspire me!
DeleteBeautiful ideas! Lovely quilts too and so many varieties. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Monica!!
DeleteBeautiful quilts displayed in a beautiful home! Love that antique cabinet with all the quilts inside (she writes as she wipes the drool from her mouth)!I am making your Sweetly Scalloped quilt right now but never saw it done in Halloween prints before and just love it!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Cheryl! Your kind words are a pick-me-up today. We just moved from that much loved home, and I am missing it and all my quilt spots! ;)
DeleteCan you tell me what patterns you used for the Green and Red wallhanging, the orange and black wall hanging. Also what patterns you used for the red car with a christmas tree and the red and white leaf wallhanging on the white window? Thanks for any help you can give me.
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia! The red and green wall hanging is the free Moda Love Pattern. Info can be found here:

The car pillow was a pattern originally part of FQS's Snapshots Quilt Along, with a variation on the top of the car from Grey Dogwood Studios. This post includes links to the patterns:

Finally, the red and white leaf is a pattern from Lori Holt's book, Farm Girl Vintage. Here's a link to info about that. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog! best wishes!
Hello! Love your blog and IG. Question about displaying quilts...how did you hang the quilts without a rod? I can’t tell by the picture.
ReplyDeleteMost of the quilts where you CAN'T see the rod there is actually a rod, but I've used a small wooden dowel from the hardware store, rather than a decorate rod. I always make sure my sleeve is 1" shorter than the sides (on both sides) so that I can hang it with a "blind" rode (dowel) if I want to.
DeleteOccasionally on a very small mini quilt, like 12" x 12", I just tack it directly to the wall with very tiny, thin brad nails.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
I simply love all these ideas!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Tisha!
