About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog!  I am an enthusiastic quilter, pattern designer, crafter and (thrifty) home decorator.  I made my first quilt in 1992, and my passion for sewing and quilting has only increased over the years.

The three loves of my life are my husband and two children, who all support my quilting obsession.  I lead a crazy, busy life. But my sewing machine is always out and ready to run!

My blog is written from the heart to share my love of quilting with you.  I make a lot of pretty things, just like you do!  I also have plenty of "oops" moments.  I bet you do too. But it is in the journey and in the sharing that we find the biggest reward, and that is why I blog.

I hope you will stay in touch with me through one of these avenues. Happy quilting!

    1. Hi Karen! Thanks so much for having me to your guild meeting. Everyone was so kind! I contacted my friend who made me the snowman block. She said it is a Lori Holt (Bee in my Bonnett) design that Lori did as part of a sew along / free tutorial on Instagram. If you are on Instagram, the hashtag to look it up is here: https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/mrsnowmantutorial/

I hope that helps! Thank you!

  4. I was wondering where I can find that fabric used for the background of your Picking Petals quilt. It is white with yellow cursive writing on it.

    1. Sure thing! That is from Lori Holt's line called Calico Days by Riley Blake Designs. I believe they call that one "White Week Days".
